XBIL is a passive “single-bond” ETF built to mirror the price and yield behavior of the current on-the-run 6‑month U.S. Treasury bill (the most recently issued, most liquid 6‑month T-bill). It typically holds one specific T-bill at a time and rolls into the newly issued 6‑month bill at month-end, aiming to track the Bloomberg US Treasury Bellwether 6M Total Return Index before fees and expenses.
