Loading VGIT detail
VGIT is a passive Treasury bond ETF built to track the Bloomberg U.S. Treasury 3–10 Year Index. It targets intermediate-term U.S. government bonds (excluding TIPS and certain other Treasury types) and uses a sampling approach—holding a representative set of bonds designed to mirror the index’s key risk and return profile.
You own a bundle of U.S. Treasury bonds that mostly come due in about 3 to 10 years. These are government IOUs, not stocks, and they’re meant to move mainly with interest rates rather than company profits.
