SGVT is an actively managed government money market-style ETF built for cash management: current income first, with capital preservation and liquidity as the guardrails.
It primarily holds ultra-short U.S. government securities and fully collateralized repurchase agreements, and it does not track an index.
Unlike traditional money market mutual funds, its share price can move because it’s priced to market inside an ETF wrapper.
You own a basket of very short-term U.S. government IOUs (like Treasury bills) plus overnight/short-term lending agreements backed by government collateral. It’s designed to feel like “cash parking,” but the ETF price can wiggle instead of staying fixed at $1.
