Loading GMMF detail
GMMF is an actively managed government money market ETF designed to generate current income while keeping maturities ultra-short and liquidity high. It holds almost entirely cash, U.S. government securities, and repurchase agreements backed by government collateral, with strict limits on maturity (generally within 397 days) and portfolio average maturity/life targets.
You’re basically buying a basket of very short-term IOUs from the U.S. government (plus cash-like positions). It aims to pay you interest while trying to keep price swings small.
