Loading BILZ detail
BILZ is an actively managed ultra-short government bond ETF designed as a cash alternative, prioritizing capital preservation and daily liquidity while trying to earn current income.
It invests only in cash, U.S. government securities, and fully government-collateralized repurchase agreements, with individual holdings maturing in 6 months or less and a portfolio average maturity capped around 120 days. Unlike a money market fund, it does not target a stable $1. 00 NAV.
You own a basket of very short-term IOUs from the U.S. government (plus government-backed overnight lending deals called repos). The goal is to keep your money steady and liquid while paying you interest, but the price can still move a little.
