FB is a rules-based S&P 500 strategy that aims to keep you in the market while softening small daily drawdowns via a “dynamic buffer” options overlay. It resets its positions every day using one-day S&P 500 options exposures (implemented through swaps), targeting a daily loss buffer between 1% and 5% while also capping daily upside based on expected volatility.
You’re getting S&P 500 exposure plus an options “shock absorber” that tries to cover the first small chunk of a down day. In exchange, it also puts a ceiling on how much you can make on strong up days, and that ceiling changes day to day.
