VOX is a passive sector ETF built to mirror the MSCI US IMI 25/50 Communication Services index, giving market-cap-weighted exposure to U.S. communication services stocks across large-, mid-, and small-caps.
In practice, the portfolio can be dominated by a handful of mega-caps, because the index weights companies by size.
Holdings are disclosed monthly (not daily), and the index is reviewed and rebalanced quarterly.
You’re buying a basket of U.S. companies that help people communicate and consume content—think telecom networks plus media and major internet platforms. The biggest companies get the biggest slices because the fund weights by market value.
