FBOT is an actively managed thematic equity ETF targeting “disruptive automation” companies worldwide—think robotics, AI, machine vision, autonomous driving, and related industrial tech.
Fidelity uses a fundamentals-driven stock selection process (financial health, industry position, and macro conditions) with proprietary portfolio construction rather than tracking an index.
The fund’s policy is to keep at least 80% of assets in companies Fidelity believes fit the disruptive automation theme.
You own a basket of global stocks in companies building machines and software that automate work and decisions (robots, AI, sensors, vision systems, and more). Instead of following a preset list, Fidelity’s team actively picks which automation stocks make the cut.
