BRF is a passive ETF built to track the MVIS Brazil Small-Cap Index, targeting smaller Brazilian-oriented companies.
It primarily uses market-cap weighting but caps any single holding at 8% to reduce single-stock concentration, and it can include firms listed outside Brazil if at least half their business is tied to Brazil.
The index is reviewed semi-annually, so the portfolio updates on a set schedule rather than through active calls.
You’re buying a basket of smaller companies connected to Brazil, not one stock. Some may trade outside Brazil, but they must earn a big share of their business in Brazil to qualify.
