FBT is a passive biotech equity ETF designed to closely track the NYSE Arca Biotechnology Index by holding (at least 90%) the same U.S.-listed biotech stocks in the benchmark. The index selects 30 companies using a fundamentals-and-R&D screen (revenue scale plus R&D efficiency and change), then equal-weights them and refreshes the lineup quarterly.
You own a basket of 30 U.S. biotechnology stocks, not one “winner.” Each company gets about the same slice of the fund, so smaller names matter almost as much as bigger ones.
