VCLT is a passive corporate bond ETF built to track the Bloomberg U.S. 10+ Year Corporate Bond Index, focusing on U.S. dollar, investment-grade, fixed-rate corporate bonds with more than 10 years to maturity.
It uses an index-sampling approach—holding a representative set of bonds—to match the index’s key risk exposures. The result is broad long-duration corporate credit exposure at a very low fee.
You own a big basket of IOUs from large, high-quality U.S. companies that don’t come due for a long time. Your returns mainly come from interest payments, but the price can swing a lot when long-term interest rates move.
