USD is a 2x leveraged ETF designed to deliver roughly twice the DAILY move of the Dow Jones U.S. Semiconductors Index, a market-cap-weighted basket of large U.S. semiconductor-related companies.
It uses derivatives and other financial instruments to target that daily reset leverage, with index holdings reviewed annually (September) and adjusted quarterly (March/June/December).
Because the leverage resets every day, performance over weeks/months can drift materially from “2x” the index.
You’re buying a turbo-charged bet on big U.S. chip companies and related semiconductor businesses. The fund uses financial contracts to try to double the index’s one-day move, not to track it long-term.
