BKIE is a passive international stock ETF built to mirror a market-cap-weighted benchmark of developed-market large- and mid-cap companies, explicitly excluding the United States.
It screens for tradable, accessible listings in developed exchanges and then targets roughly the top 85% of each country’s free-float market value, with reconstitution twice a year (May and November).
The portfolio may use tools like futures, currency forwards, or swaps to keep performance close to the index.
You own a big basket of established companies in places like Japan, the UK, Canada, and Europe—just not the U.S. The fund mostly holds stocks (and sometimes stock-like instruments) to stay in line with its developed-markets ex-U.S. index.
